The SeniorCare Nutrition Program serves elders, 60 years of age, and older. We serve meals in social settings for congregate dining, and in individuals’ homes (Meals on Wheels).
Our menus are developed by registered dieticians, and are prepared by professional caterers. All meals provide 1/3 of the Recommended Daily Allowances for nutrients established by the Federal Government. We are able to provide therapeutic diets, such as diabetic, cardiac, ground, and pureed.
The suggested $2.00 per meal donation does not completely cover the cost of each meal, but provides an affordable choice for our seniors. There are no income eligibility guidelines for participation in the meals program.
The congregate dining sites are open in the mornings, and at lunchtime, providing delicious meals where seniors can dine with others and enjoy conversation.
Meals on Wheels are delivered daily between the hours of 10:00 and 12:30, excluding holidays. At times, deliveries may be canceled due to inclement weather, so we advise having enough food on hand to cover such emergencies.
The Nutrition Program relies on donations, fundraising, state and federal funds, grants and corporate gifts. We participate in Helping Hands of America’s car and boat donation program.
We invite you to view our monthly menu. Contact us at any of our main numbers, or at the dining site of your choice to reserve a meal. We ask that you make your reservation by 11:00 A.M. a day ahead. Contact us at our main number for Meals on Wheels requests, and requests for Nutrition Consultations.
We look forward to serving you!
