Providing Choices for Elders Since 1972

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

RSVP LogoRSVP matches the skills and interests of adults aged 55 and over with opportunities to serve their communities.  From a few hours to several days per week, they serve in many capacities at our “partner stations” all over the North Shore.  RSVP volunteers make friendly visits to nursing homes, hospitals and private residences.  They deliver “Meals on Wheels”, help at congregate dining sites, and drive elders to medical appointments.  Some act as reading coaches for children in grades K-4 at school-based or library programs, or assist at food pantries.  They act as tax aides, money managers, or help local law enforcement make communities safer.  Some help protect the environment or volunteer in homeland security efforts.

SeniorCare RSVP Volunteers serve in:

Beverly Marblehead
Danvers Peabody
Essex Rockport
Gloucester Salem
Hamilton Topsfield
Ipswich Wenham
Manchester-by-the-Sea

RSVP volunteers choose where they wish to serve, and for how long.  All get to attend our annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, other community social events, and they receive our quarterly newsletter and membership in the Corporation for National and Community Service. RSVP volunteers may also receive up to $15.00 per month for travel to and from our partner stations.  RSVP is a great way to meet new friends and help your community. To keep up with what's happening, read the RSVP Newsletter.

For those under 55 years of age, there are still many rewarding volunteer opportunities at SeniorCare, Inc.  Call Us!
